The Ocean Tracking Network is a global aquatic animal tracking, data management, and partnership platform headquartered at Dalhousie University in Canada. OTN and its partners are using electronic tags to track many keystone, commercially important, and endangered species at an international scale, across all ocean regions. The OTN Data Centre is responsible for the collection, aggregation, cross-referencing, and dissemination (both public and private) of acoustic detection data. OTNDC also maintains linkages to sibling acoustic telemetry data centres all over the world, and feeds global biogeographical information systems such as OBIS with animal tracking data as it is eventually made publicly available under the terms of the OTN Data Policy.
